Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 8 June 2016 – SAP, a global leader in enterprise application software, through its Gold Channel Partner, NEC Corporation of Malaysia today announced that Global Facilities Management Sdn. Bhd (GFM) have chosen to implement SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management solution for their organisation.
Incorporated in Malaysia by multi-disciplinary professionals, Global Facilities Management (GFM) offers the asset owner an integrated solution in the management of all the traditional tasks relating to facilities services. The company provides management services typically to building occupiers / owners to support their business needs, allowing them to focus on their core business.
GFM prides itself in delivering managed services on agreed service levels. With the growth of its business, a new system was needed to replace the disparate legacy systems, as manual communication and analysis were impacting their performance. Information was scattered across multi-instances and manual reconciliation was needed before communication through email and cloud channels could be executed. These disparate systems hindered Finance in timely analysis, Marketing in accurate value pricing, Human Resources in efficient resource allocation and Operations in real-time Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring. To accommodate their growing business and increase business efficiency, GFM realised the need to address these challenges and transform by empowering their employees with a system that provides consistent, timely and accurate information.
In this digital transformation journey, GFM engaged NEC to move its business into the next level, streamlining resource allocation and management. GFM was seeking a powerful solution with multiple functionalities to address its current challenges and reduce Total Cost of Ownership. After an extensive evaluation, GFM chose SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management as its go-to solution because of SAP’s branding and reputation of NEC, as their delivery partner.
NEC Corporation of Malaysia will be implementing the SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management System for GFM. SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management addresses functionality beyond financials, mostly in inventory management and production planning and is a fully integrated system for governance and compliance. To cover the broad scope of requirements set forth by GFM, modules to support Finance, Sales and Marketing, Procurement, Project Systems, Inventory and Human Resource Management were included.
Said Zainal Amir, Executive Director, GFM, “With SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management, together with NEC, GFM will be able to improve data and information accuracy, cutting out redundancy and reducing errors in manual operations. This will enable GFM to attain its digital transformation objective of serving more complex customers with the agility to respond quickly and more accurately as data is readily available.”
Added Andrew Lee, Managing Director, NEC Corporation of Malaysia, “We are pleased to be the key delivery partner of Global Facilities Management for this SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management solution. Leveraging on our innovative technologies and expertise, we work closely with customers to deliver solutions that enable them to maximise operational efficiency and become more agile in the market.”
Meanwhile, SAP Malaysia’s Managing Director, Terrence Yong said that the solution will be able to empower GFM’s business users with insights to act “in the moment”.
“It is intelligent – going beyond automation to provide predictive suggestions. And it is integrated – not only among GFM’s various departments but also with the external business environment.
Today’s announcement builds on SAP’s commitment to enable strong, growing businesses that can seize the amazing opportunities of the digital economy,” said Yong.
“SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management is the reimagined suite of core business applications that can help customers begin their digital transformation journey. We are proud to be able to support GFM in their digital transformation journey to be ready for the upcoming digital economy,” added Yong.
The current implementation at GFM is targeted at the headquarter systems overseeing the core business operations. The future will see the integration and replacement of the multi-vendor operations Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) requirements.
