NEC group is committed to procuring all goods and services with competitive quality, price, and delivery conditions from the global supply market under fair business terms while observing all laws and regulations. Such procurement activities are based on both The Charter of Corporate Behavior and The Code of Conduct of NEC Group.
Furthermore, NEC is a participant in The Global Compact, which has been initiated by the United Nations, and promotes CSR-driven management based on the ISO26000 standard. NEC group will promote improvements of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption and other social responsibility through the procurement activities, with the cooperation of its supply-chain partners, for pursuit of sustainable and ethical procurement.

The objective of NEC group's CSR activities is to undertake our business activities while fulfilling our responsibilities, so as to contribute to the sustainable development of society. - Green Procurement Guideline
To ensure green procurement, NEC established the Green Procurement Guideline for suppliers. In addition, suppliers of hardware / product need to comply with product content laws in countries which restrict specific chemical substances in products.
NEC establishes and maintains Standards Pertaining to Procurement Restrictions for the Inclusion of Chemical Substances in Products and suppliers are required to comply with this standard.
- Supplier Code of Conduct
We recognize that our suppliers are independent entities / business partners, however, the actions of our business partners can be attributed to NEC, affecting our reputation and the level of trust we have earned from our customers and other stakeholders. We require that all our suppliers and their facilities meet the standards and promote the principles outlined in the Supplier Code of Conduct
- Health & Safety Manual for Contractors
Suppliers performing site installation and / or maintenance works are required to comply with NEC’s Health & Safety Manual for Contractors, in addition to all applicable Health & Safety laws and all regulations of the country in which they operate.
